Author Guidelines

Paper & Poster Presentation Guidelines

All authors are expected to give live presentations at the conference (in person or online). Below are the presentation guidelines: 

1. Papers

  • Regular papers – Presenter will have 15 mins to present, followed by a 5-min Q&A.
  • Short papers – Presenter will have 5 mins to present, followed by a 1-min Q&A. 
  • For in-person paper presenters, there will be a designated computer at the conference that’ll be used to present. Presenters must upload their presentation slides by 11.59pm EDT May 14, 2022 via, so that FCCM organizers can put the slides to the designated computer prior to the session.
  • Virtual paper presenters must join 20 minutes prior to the session start, to test the internet connection and screen sharing. Please see the “Instruction for Remote Presenters” section below on the detailed instruction to connect and present virtually.

2. Posters

  • For in-person poster presenters, we will provide the tripod easels (with foam boards) to accommodate posters with standard A1 size. You’re expected to print the poster on your own and bring it to the conference. 
  • For virtual poster presenters, the virtual platform will host your 1 minute poster video. You are expected to be present during your virtual poster session to discuss with virtual attendees who are interested in your posters. Each virtual poster will have a zoom link, for which you can present materials you see fit (e.g., slides) to discuss your poster.
  • Each day, there is a poster lightning talk, where the 1-minute poster video for all posters (in-person and virtual) that will be presented on that day will be played, to inform and encourage attendees to attend the respective poster sessions that day.

For all presenters (papers, posters), it is important that you create your Whova account using the same email ID that you used for your recorded video submission via the Google Form. We have used that email ID to create your Whova account. In case you already have an existing Whova account using that email ID, you can reuse the same to access FCCM virtual platform.
