From DCA Airport

There is a complimentary shuttle bus to and from the airport. The hotel is 2.7mi from DCA

From Dulles (IAD) Airport

to the hotel will take approximately 40 minutes without traffic. Please note that one of the main roads to traverse on this route, I-66, has unusual High Occupancy Vehicle restrictions which can be found here. Single occupancy vehicles traveling to and from Dulles airport are allowed during HOV hours. The traffic is usually much lighter during these periods. Be prepared to show your airline ticket during these times.
A Taxi between Dulles and the hotel is Estimated to be between $70-80. Alternatively, Supershuttle, will make multiple stops and take longer, but will be about $40.

Getting Around

The hotel complimentary shuttle bus makes stops at King St, Alexandria and Reagan (DCA) Airport

Metro is an excellent way to visit other parts of Washington, DC. The closest stops are the Braddock Rd station (3/4 mi from the hotel) or take the hotel shuttle to the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport station. More information and schedules can be found here

Things to Do in Washington DC and Alexandria, VA

Old Town Alexandria

There are plenty of things to do and places to eat within a short walking distance of the hotel. The chamber of commerce has a great overview here: Visit Alexandria

Mount Vernon

A little further south of Alexandria, is George Washington's home, Mount Vernon

Washington, DC

Downtown Washington, DC is a short metro ride (Metro Website) from the hotel and there are loads to do. The Smithsonian museums are FREE Smithsonian Site, and there are several memorials and parks as well National park Service

Washington, DC for the Technology Focused

For the technologists, there are several points of interest in the DC area:
The National Air and Space museum now has locations in both DC and the newer annex near Dulles Airport. Air and Space Museum
The National Museum of American history has just updated it's Innovation, Creativity, and Enterprise exhibit.
The National Spy Museum has the largest collection of espionage-related artifacts
The National Electronics Museum is near BWI.
The NASA Goddard Visitor Center
The National Cryptologic Museum is a short drive away
